Here at Pickledog headquarters we have been keepin’ it real, and maintaining a daily connection to the blogosphere only through timely, and insightful Tweets. (I think that’s how the early pioneers survived the harsh winters.) Can you believe that we’re halfway through February already.. it’s time for another drawing!

I’m not sure what this Cuckoo bird is up to? Maybe he’s just impatient, and can’t wait for the clock to strike Twelve, or perhaps it’s all part of his cuckoo master plan..

Pickledog Says: A healthy dental routine is always important kids!

Through the summer I’ve missed too many Illustration Fridays, but it was always my intention to catch up on as many as possible when things got a bit quieter, and I could blog more regular style again. From the topics that I missed, I choose “canned” and “sail.” I’d love to do all the missing weeks, but I still have this weeks topic to do. It’s perfect that this weeks topic is “routine,” because that is just what I need to be getting back to.

In the future Robot Soccer Federation, if a player’s head becomes detached it can be used as a second soccer ball, and either team may use it to score a goal. Crazy robots!

IF – Wrinkles

When Captain Bluebird-Beard had the idea of tattooing the treasure map to the back of his first mate Cannonball thirty years ago he never thought about wrinkles.

“Arggh! I can’t tell if this is a river or a wrinkle even with me bifocals yaar!”

Sorry guys this one went a bit blurry after I uploaded it for some reason, focus blogger focus.

In the future robot children will visit robot museums to learn about early robot life. What a glorious future it will be.

IF – Heavy

Hey Mac! Yous gotta lift sumpthin’ but itz too ‘eavy? Call Harry’s Hoisting Co. at 555-HOIST-IT
Harry lifts all kinds of junk like:

Pianos
Fridges
Money safes
Cars & Trucks
Elephants
Houses
Boxes of stuff
Large industrial shark tanks
And More…

Multiple

I choose to draw Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for multiple. Now I’m thinking that I should have used a more modern example like Fight Club, or Hannah Montana. Next time I guess…

IF – Excess

Hey kids, tell yer mom and dad to buy you a box of Ginger Nog, the official breakfast cereal of Christmas! All the taste, and nutrition of gingerbread, and thick egg nog packed into a bite sized cereal. Now with real candy cane bites!

Provides 110% of your daily nog requirements, and shreds the roof of your mouth at twice the rate of Captian Munch•.

The box isn’t complete, but I wanted to post it for this weeks I.F. topic “excess.” I’m still working on the Ginger Nog logo, and such, but I will post it again once everything is just so.

• Mouth shreding results my vary. Ginger NOG is not a real cereal, (yet) so do not rush to your local grocer demanding “your sweet-sweet G-NOG.”

Big fish, little fish swimming in the water

For the Illustration Friday topic “Scale.” Watch out for the mustache whales!
